The book is an in-depth analysis on Anglo-Jewish literatures (North-American, British, and Australian) including the major themes in Eastern Jewish narratives. It also considers Jewish themes and figures in English literature featuring D.H. Lawrence, James Joyce, and Australian Nobel laureate Patrick White. At the time, there were not many comparative studies on this subject. The manuscript was kept in abeyance for several years. It was inspired by the writings of Claudio Magris (Lontano da dove?).
